Camp Henry Outdoor School

Camp Henry Outdoor School (CHOS)

The Camp Henry Outdoor School focuses on learning, living, and experiencing God’s majesty in a backcountry setting. CHOS sessions are comprised of a variety of outdoor activities including backpacking in the Great Smoky Mountains, ropes courses and Alpine tower, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, canoe camping, and more. Campers learn a variety of skills through hands-on experience, such as campfire building, map reading, Leave-No-Trace ethics, and expedition management. We also offer a 3-night Family CHOS session as an introduction to outdoor adventure for all ages.

Led by experienced staff who have Wilderness First Responder certification and a chaplain, participants receive instruction on all facets of planning and leading a safe and enjoyable backcountry expedition. CHOS sessions for Middle School and High School aged youth are a great way to learn how to prepare and plan your own wilderness expeditions.

CHOS is an extremely popular program with very limited space so please register early.

Trips can also be scheduled for school groups, youth groups, scout troops, families, and other groups through the Outdoor School at Lake Logan. Learn more HERE
