On Saturday night, November 2nd, Lake Logan will host a benefit cookout and concert featuring WNC Americana band and fan-favorite ‘Fancy and the Gentleman’. Fancy and the Gentlemen brings an eclectic mix of honky-tonk, blues, southern gothic, rock, and classical roots to this Americana band. Sensitive and rich harmonies weave through the tapestry of original compositions and carefully curated covers that celebrate the roots of American Southern music. This event is open to all with proceeds directly supporting Lake Logan and Camp Jenry’s hurricane restoration efforts as well as a generous donation to the Lake Logan Fire Department.
Throughout the weekend, volunteer projects will be underway to clean-up damage caused by Helene. Acres of trees, boulders, rocks and debris massively re-shaped the West Fork of the Pigeon River above Lake Logan. Volunteer projects will primarily focus on river bank clean-up and restoration. Indoor projects include care package assembly for community members most impacted by the storm. Lake Logan welcomes all ages to join in the volunteer efforts and encourages everyone to register ahead of time to help in the planning, coordination, and meal preparations.
Come for just the cookout and concert, a day of volunteering, or join us for the whole weekend. No matter what works best for you – we will be so thankful and excited to see you at the Lake! Huge shout-out and thank-you to our sponsors, Ferikes, Bleynat & Cannon and Haywood Waterways!
